CAREY BLYTON - DEATH & OBITUARIES -

As previously stated, Carey Blyton
died on Saturday 13 July 2002 at Woodbridge in Suffolk, of cancer and post-polio
syndrome,
just four months after his 70th birthday.
A Service of Thanksgiving was held at
St Mary's Parish Church, Woodbridge on Wednesday 24 July 2002 at 11.00am.
The following hymns were sung: "For the beauty of the earth, For the beauty of
the skies", "I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above" and "Praise to
the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation".
Following his death, much was written about Carey in the
national and local press, and in numerous music magazines. We reproduce here:
