- SWEENEY TODD -

'I'M SWEENEY TODD, THE BARBER'

I'm Sweeney Todd, the barber, An evil soul I harbour,
I runs a little 'business' cutting hair and other things.
I've made a tidy packet By running a nice racket,
I'm always happy in my work and this is what I sings . . .

(Chorus)
Cutting it fine, Cutting it fine. I always gives the gents a nice close shave.
Polish 'em off! Polish 'em off! The richer they are, the more I am a knave.

My partner, Missus Lovett, As tricky as a ferret,
Has a little pie shop very famous right next door;
Her pies are quite delicious, Although they're rather vicious,
Because she uses men inside, though cooked and never raw.

(Chorus)

We have a nice arrangement, That causes no estrangement,
I shaves 'em in my 'special chair' a very special way;
And when I've took their money (Although it looks quite funny)
I sends 'em off to Missus L., and this is what I say . . .

(Chorus)
